Into the Woods Review

Into the Woods (2014) Poster

Hey Guys!

So if you didn't know, I'm a huge fan of musicals so Into the Woods was definitely my kind of movie. I heard about the movie a year ago, while looking through the upcoming section of Rotten Tomatoes, and I knew I was definitely looking forward to seeing it. I haven't seen the Broadway Musical but I will definitely make sure I do after this.

I quite enjoyed the way all of these fairy tales came together to form such a humorous, dark and melody filled movie.

The actors were spectacular especially Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. Meryl Streep's voice was so powerful in 'The Last Midnight' and Emily Blunt was just downright hilarious.

'agony" was my favorite scene, who can resist the sight of Chris Pine and Bill Magnussen ripping their shirts open while singing 'AGOONNNNYYY" . Definitely not me.

Anna Kendrick was an exceptional Cinderella and I quite enjoyed her ' On The Steps of the Palace" song.
I knew Johnny Depp had a small part but I didn't realize how small it was. He was only there for one song, which was good.

I saw the movie with my family member's and they were upset that the movie didn't end at the first half. I , on the other hand, was glad that I got to watch the whole musical. Yes it was long, but it doesn't matter if it was six hours, as long as I am entertained.

I was disappointed that the Baker's Wife died but it definitely added to the message of the story.
My mother found Red Riding Hood, annoying but I thought she was great, her voice was beautiful and her character had a certain cuteness  and innocence to it. I found Jack, a bit annoying at some times though.

Overall, I enjoyed the film adaptation of Into the Woods very much and I would recommend it to everyone who shares my love of musicals. Because I haven't scene the original Broadway show, I'm unable to comment on the contrast between them.

Anyways, I have school tomorrow (AGONNNY!) so I've got to work on all the projects I've been procrastinating on. See Ya!

Favorite Song:  Last Midnight
Favorite Character: The Baker's Wife
Favorite Quotes: 'Foolishness can happen in the woods," "You're not good, you're not bad, you're just nice. I'm not good, I'm not nice, I'm just right"

Guardians of the Galaxy Review

I I I I'M........................HOOKED ON A FEELING!

Okay guys so the biggest movie of the summer for me had to be.. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!

I absolutely LOVED this movie. It was funny, witty, action packed,, romantic, and who can forget the awesome soundtrack!

This movie was basically a  buffet for me, I'm sorry was that too weird? I have got to stop comparing my favorite movies to food. I said Midnight in Paris was like a cake shaped like baguette.

So when I first saw this trailer, my first words were "This is gonna be so lame!"

I honestly didn't even want to see the movie but I had to for I am extremity loyal ti Marvel.
Let's be honest, I would go see Zombieland  if it had any affiliation with Marvel.

Anyways, this trailer did not do the movie any justice, it was jsut one big mess. I legitimately said "What the heck is going on?" at least five times.

Aside form this garbage that call itse;f a trailer, the actual movie was INCRDEBLE. The second scene had me laughing. I was expecting an intense "searching for some alien whatchamacallit" scene but instead I got Chriss Pratt jamming out to Come and Get Your Love.

James Gunn did a fantastic job at turning that Comic Book nobodies ever heard of into the Number One movie of 2014. The action packed scenes had me on the edge of mty seat. The CGI was incredible as well as the graphics. The fight cheograpghy was amazing

My favorite character had to be Rocket, he is just one awesome Raccoon. He was hilarious. I absolutely loved his sarcastic remarks.
All of the relationships were so detailed. I loved how deep the characters were. I completely felt Peter's pain when his mom died, and they didn't just close the book there, they showed his love in how much he cared for his tape and walkman.

My scene scene had to have been Ronan's defeat. The way they all stood together was so epic and just breath taking. The moment I saw Peter remembering him mom saying "Take my hand" I was near tears. The relationships were so strong and in depth, Even Rocket, small and frail Rocket grabbed hold of Drax's hand despite the immense power and strength it must have taken him. Losing Groot gave Rocket strength.

All in all, Guardians of the Galaxy was the best movie I've seen since The Avengers. If you haven't seen it, I don't know why your reading this instead of watching the masterpiece known as Guardians of the Galaxy.

P.S

Remember the guy who was helping Loki in the Avengers?

He is known as the other, he worked for Thanos before Ronan killed him. That means their is a connection with Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers. Meaning there could be a crossover movie with both team joining forces to defeat Thanos!

I think there's a little pee coming out of me right now.

Favorite Line: We Are Groot

Annie Movie Review

Hey Guys!

So I saw the movie Annie over the weekend. I actually wanted to see The Hobbit; The Battle of the Five Armies  movie but it was my sister's birthday and she got to pick. I wasn't expecting too much from this movie considering I didn't even like the original Annie but.............I ended up really liking it.

I know that they changed the race of Annie this time which I think was awesome because Quvenzhané Wallis made the character lovable, cute and funny. I loved the new remix of Hard-Knock Life and the choreography was adorable.

Yes some moments were very, very corny but I think it made the film even better. I liked the incorporation of social media into the movie because nowadays it's very realistic. I mean c'mon, if some guy named Alex who worked at target could trend worldwide and get on Ellen, I'm sure a mayor candidate's foster kid could get more than a couple retweets.

I loved the actors but sometimes I felt that Cameron Diaz was trying too hard (I still love you though Cameron!).

I have to say, there was one moment in the movie where I was squirming in my seat do to the corniness overload; it was the part where Mr. Stacks was singing to Annie after he rescued her. Foxx looked extremely out of place with choreography and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for him. But then of course I got over it and joined in the course of "Awwwwww"'s with the rest of my theater.

Also, I know that there's been a lot of negative attitude towards this movie but I don't understand why. I think critics forget who the targeted audience is sometimes. This was Annie, the children's musical not Les Miserables! People need to cut the movie some slack! It was funny, cute, and it kept the audience entertained. Also, if people are mad about the whole 'Annie is supposed to be white" thing, they can go suck on a lime because all I know is Quvenzhané Wallis did a great job as Annie, in fact she was a hundred times better than the original ginger girl.

Overall, Annie had a great soundtrack, awesome choreography and a perfect cast. Nice job Wiil Gluck and the Carters!

Go see Annie! Also don't forget to comment and tell me how you feel. Remember this is how I see things.

Insurgent Trailer

Hey Guys!

Alright so the new Insurgent trailer came out! *Woot Woot*

I was super stoked for it until I actually watched it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suZcGoRLXkU

Okay! Lets do this!

So halfway through the trailer, I had to exit out of full screen to see if I was watching the right movie..........

WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!

I'm sorry did I read the wrong book or did I miss something because I'm pretty sure there wasn't this box thingy in the book.

Also, there was way to many action scenes in that trailer. I swear like every five seconds someone was getting shot.

"Bang Bang! Imma shot em' down baby!"
Oh and this might be weird but in this split second, I thought Naomi Watts looked like Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)

Overall, It looks like it will be an "OK" movie. I think they went completely off the book and just came up with an entire new plot so I'm not really excpecting that much. Oh well, the action scenes look cool but if there're are too many it will become repetitive!

Anyways! Sorry for the lame review!

Let me know what you guys think!

The Great Debate: Frozen VS Tangled

Okay now everyone, and I mean everyone has been talking about Frozen. I know this is a  bit late to be talking about now since it has kinda died down with the relative public, but it hasn't left the minds of the elementary school children just yet. I happen to have a 7 year old sister who LOVES Frozen.
actually deserves. The reason I even wanted to see the movie frozen was because of this promo:

You wouldn't believe the number of times the song "Let It Go" has been sung in my household, and trust me, us Fluffies do not have good voices in the slightest so it is basically torture to hear my little sister belting out those off key notes in the shower.

Oh and don’t even get me started on how many times I've been asked if I wanted to build a snowman.Don’t get me wrong, Frozen was a pretty good movie, but I feel like it’s getting more praise than it

Yes, the race for the carrot between Sven and Olaf was adorable and captivating but that wasn't the main reason I was so interested in this movie, it was because Frozen was made by the creators of Tangled.
I love absolutely loved Tangled! Not only was it full of adventure and magic, but it took the beautiful story of Rapunzel and turned it into something absolutely phenomenal.
A couple of days ago, I saw Tangled once again and I realized that Tangled didn't not receive the hype it deserved. I'm writing this now because I truly want to know what the rest of the world thinks; Was Frozen better than Tangled?

The only thing I liked about Frozen , aside from the soundtrack, was that it's plot focused on the bond between sisters instead of the usual damsel in distress plot. Unfortunately, that would be the only positive thing I can say about the movie.

Frozen was only popular because of the Award Winning song, Let It Go and had the song be featured in Tangled, Frozen would have been swept under Disney's carpet of shame along with The Princess and the Frog. Their were so many things I didn't understand about Elsa's powers:How could she make a dress? How did she create life? Why did the makers assume we would notice her make Olaf when we too dazed on the wonderful voice of Idina Menzel? Why were Elsa's powers considered wicked if they had magical troll rock frolicking around their forest? How was Elsa suddenly able to control her power?
I also didn't like that Frozen conjured up most of its humor at the expense of a character as lovable as Olaf. Tangled didn't need to make any character foolish to get a laugh out of the audience. Flynn's charming personality and Pascal's loyalty to Rapunzel did the trick. Oh, and how can we forget Maximus and his intense sleuthing skills?

Also, I never found myself connecting either Anna or Elsa the way I did withe Rapunzel. Rapunzel was locked in a tower, Elsa was free to pass her position to Anna.

All in all, I do think that Frozen wasn't as good as Tangled but at the same time, I'm glad that Disney is showing more family relations in their movies. (Aside from Finding Nemo...)

Plus, I have to admit, Let It go is a pretty catchy song.......Love is an Open Door was good too........

Thanks for reading! Tell me your opinion in the comments!
